About this boat

The Catamaran Ouna is a Lagoon 46 feet premium catamaran built in 2020. It has been upgraded in 2023 to get a touch like no other catamaran in its league. With redesigned tasteful interior, brand new upholstery and floors, premium mattresses, and carefully selected linen, as well as features like a new sound system, (optional) Starlink internet from lower orbit, digitally controlled air conditioning, a freezer, an outdoor bbq, great fishing gear, a dinghy that allows water sports and fun, the option to rent any water sport gear you would wish for, and much more, Ouna is setting out to deliver the good life on a boat like it should be. Ouna has four double bed rooms with premium mattresses and linen for a great sleep. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Owner insures yacht against fire, marine, collision, third-party damage, and all loss/damage above stated excess; charterer relieved of covered liability except for gross negligence or willful default
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~90 HP engines burn roughly 7.2 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 151 L ≈ €294 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans. Many skippers run one engine on passage to roughly halve fuel use — ask your operator if that’s fine for your boat.
Do I need a sailing licence in Greece?
Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.
What sailing experience must our crew have?
You need at least one qualified skipper and one experienced crew member in your party. We may require your crew to demonstrate competence by operating the yacht at sea; if you don't satisfy us, we can either terminate the agreement or place a professional captain aboard at your expense for as many days as we consider necessary.
Can we use the yacht for racing or towing?
No, the yacht is for private pleasure only. You cannot use it for racing or towing other boats, except in an emergency.
Are there restrictions on where we can sail?
Yes, you must stay within the designated cruising area and cannot sail in areas not adequately covered by your charts. You also must plan your itinerary so you reach your farthest destination within the first third of the charter and return to within 40 nautical miles of the return port at least two days before your end date.
What do we do if something breaks during our charter?
You're responsible for all repair costs after take-over, except for normal wear and tear. You must get our consent before making any repairs; for wear-related repairs, we'll refund you if you collect the receipts.
What happens if bad weather prevents us from sailing?
You cannot leave port if wind exceeds Beaufort force 6, if harbor authorities prohibit sailing, or if the yacht has damage or non-functioning safety equipment. If you can't sail due to weather or safety concerns, we recommend planning your itinerary carefully.
When is the best time to sail in Greece?
April–October, hot and dry with the strong northerly Meltemi wind peaking in July–August, especially across the Cyclades.
