Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: The operator confirms the yacht is fully insured. Independently of the insurance, the client must pay for all damages or losses to the yacht's equipment or inventory that are directly caused by the client.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~114 HP engines burn roughly 9.1 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 191 L ≈ €357 at €1.87/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Croatia?
Not personally — this boat requires a skipper, who holds the licence. Generally, though: At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.
Can I bring my dog or another pet on board?
Animals are not allowed aboard unless we have given you written permission in advance, so please ask before you book.
Are there limits on how I can use the boat and the tender?
The yacht is for cruising only and can't be sublet. The tender is there for support, not as a taxi, and only our crew drives it. It stays within 500 metres of the yacht, and the generator doesn't run overnight from 23:00 to 08:00 unless the skipper agrees.
What happens if bad weather affects my trip?
Your skipper plans the route around weather and safety and has the final say on sailing plans. We're not responsible for postponements or changes of plan caused by bad weather.
How many people can come aboard?
Our pricing is based on up to 8 guests in up to 4 cabins. Everyone aboard must be on the official Crew List by name.
What do the skipper and chef do?
Your skipper handles navigation, docking, anchoring, the tender and local tips, and your chef prepares breakfast and lunch and keeps the common areas tidy. Daily cabin cleaning, cocktail service and dedicated childcare need a third crew member arranged in advance.
