Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: The boat is delivered with a hull policy for the Mediterranean up to total loss. The policy has a deductible, which is covered by the guest's security deposit.

Fuel isn't included, and on a powerboat it's the biggest variable cost. Estimated from engine power: at a typical planing cruise this boat's 320 HP engine burns roughly 48 L/h — about €94 an hour at €1.95/L. It depends heavily on speed: easing off the throttle cuts it sharply, running flat out raises it. Plan your fuel around the hours and speed you expect to cruise.

The skipper needs a valid sailing licence and VHF certificate, ideally issued by their country of residence (an ICC is widely accepted).

Animals aren't allowed on board unless we've given our specific consent beforehand. Please ask us before you book if you'd like to bring a pet.

The boat is for pleasure cruising only, within the cruising area set in your contract and never in countries affected by war or civil unrest. You can't use it for paid passengers, cargo or trade, or for regattas and risky water sports without our written approval. You also can't sublet it.

We aren't responsible for delayed departures or interrupted cruises caused by weather or harbour authority orders, and your charter period keeps running. For safety, the skipper must not leave port when conditions are above Beaufort force 4, and must head for the nearest safe harbour or anchorage if already at sea.

Your skipper must be approved by us and may be asked to show a valid boating licence and prove their competence for this type of boat. If they're not suitable and you can't find a replacement, we can refuse handover. If you'd like us to find you a skipper, you pay for their meals.

Tell us right away, and don't carry out any repairs without our authorization. Please contact us for assistance between 08:00 and 20:00. If the boat is unusable through no fault of yours for more than 48 consecutive hours, your charter fee is suspended for that time.
