Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit.

No sailing licence is required by Thai law, but charter companies require a sailing résumé showing experience on an equivalent boat.

Yes. The person operating the boat must hold a valid licence and have at least two years of experience driving a boat. If you don't meet this, talk to us about options.
