Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. You can lower the deposit by adding the operator’s damage waiver. Operator terms: Security deposit applicable per insured event (damage or loss).
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~110 HP engine burn roughly 8.8 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 185 L ≈ €361 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Greece?
Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.
Can we hire a skipper or hostess?
Yes, we can arrange a freelance skipper or hostess for your charter. You would provide their meals onboard, or agree a small daily food allowance, and give them a cabin and use of a shower and toilet.
What's included in the charter rate?
Your rate covers use of the yacht and its equipment, clean bed linens and bath towels (one set per person per week for up to two weeks), a full spare bottle of cooking gas, and berthing fees for the first and last night at the marina.
What optional equipment can we add?
We can supply extras such as a stand-up paddleboard, a safety net for children, automatic life jackets, Wi-Fi, an outboard engine, and extra linen sets. These are payable in cash at the base on the day you board.
What if something goes wrong with the yacht during our trip?
Please let our local base manager know straight away and we'll work to put things right as fast as possible, aiming to resolve technical issues within eight working hours, though this can take longer in remote areas.
What condition should we return the yacht in?
We deliver the yacht cleaned and disinfected with fresh linens, and we ask that you return it in the same condition, with the water tank topped up.
