About this boat

The Prestige M48 My Dream is a luxury motor catamaran launched in 2026, designed to offer a sophisticated cruising experience along the Italian coasts and the Mediterranean. With a length of 14.79 meters and a beam of 6 meters, this vessel ensures expansive interior and exterior spaces, providing superior stability thanks to its multi-hull configuration. It is equipped with two Volvo Penta D4 engines of 320 hp each, a V-Drive system, and a joystick for easy maneuvering, offering a cruising speed of around 15 knots and a maximum speed of approximately 20 knots. The range can reach 600 nautical miles at 8 knots, with fuel efficiency 20% higher than a monohull of the same size. The interiors of the M48 Italia IV are designed to accommodate up to 6 people in 3 double cabins, each with a private bathroom, plus a crew cabin with a separate bathroom. The exterior spaces include a large, covered flybridge with a sunbathing area, U-shaped sofa, and removable table; an electric, multi-position swim platform, also ideal for use as a beach club or for the tender; A bow sunbathing area with reclining backrests and a spacious cockpit with a wooden table and teak flooring. Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~320 HP engines burn roughly 25.6 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 538 L ≈ €1049 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans. Many skippers run one engine on passage to roughly halve fuel use — ask your operator if that’s fine for your boat.
Do I need a sailing licence in Italy?
The skipper needs a valid sailing licence and VHF certificate, ideally issued by their country of residence (an ICC is widely accepted).
Can anyone charter the boat without a skipper?
Bareboat charters without a skipper are offered to experienced sailors only. If you would like to sail unaccompanied, we will expect you to demonstrate the relevant experience.
