Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: The vessel carries the mandatory insurance and a comprehensive insurance that exceeds the value of the deposit defined by the contract, both included in the price. Coverage follows the terms of the insurer.

Fuel isn't included, and on a powerboat it's the biggest variable cost. Estimated from engine power: at a typical planing cruise this boat's 550 HP engine burns roughly 83 L/h — about €155 an hour at €1.87/L. It depends heavily on speed: easing off the throttle cuts it sharply, running flat out raises it. Plan your fuel around the hours and speed you expect to cruise.

Not personally — this boat requires a skipper, who holds the licence. Generally, though: At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.

Yes. You can't lend the boat to others, use it for racing, commercial or professional fishing purposes, or use it as a sailing school. Illegal activities are also off limits.

Your skipper decides whether it's safe to sail and whether to spend the night in a port or at anchor, based on the forecast. You can't sail in unsafe conditions. We aren't liable for delays caused by rough weather.

Only as many people as the boat is designed for, and only those on the crew list. You can't add extra guests on the day.

Your professional skipper handles navigation, mooring, anchoring and keeping the deck and cockpit tidy. They also share local tips and sail up to 8 hours a day. Cooking and general cleaning are not part of the skipper's duties.

May–October, with the most reliable maestral winds and warm seas in June–September; July–August are the hottest and busiest.
