Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: Each yacht has hull and third-party insurance covering all passengers. Personal property of the skipper and crew is not insured, so separate insurance is recommended.

Fuel isn't included, and on a powerboat it's the biggest variable cost. Estimated from engine power: at a typical planing cruise this boat's 310 HP engine burns roughly 47 L/h — about €92 an hour at €1.95/L. It depends heavily on speed: easing off the throttle cuts it sharply, running flat out raises it. Plan your fuel around the hours and speed you expect to cruise.

Not if you add a skipper — this boat offers one, who holds the licence. Generally, though: Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.

Night sailing is allowed only in safe weather conditions. You must stay within Croatian waters and follow all customs and local regulations.

If you can't return on time, tell the base manager straight away so they can advise you. If the delay is caused by bad weather, you cover any resulting expenses, so we suggest planning your route with some margin.

A delay of up to 3 hours costs the price of one daily charter, and a delay of more than 3 hours costs triple the daily charter fee. The same applies if you bring the boat to a different place than agreed.

If the base manager decides your skills aren't sufficient, you'll be asked to take a professional skipper on board at an extra charge. If you prefer not to skipper yourself, you can name another qualified skipper before sailing.

Tell the base manager immediately and ask for instructions. After a serious accident or a collision, write down everything, have all parties sign it, report it to the nearest harbour master and notify us right away. Please also check the engine oil and water daily, because damage from low oil or water isn't insured.
