Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit. You can lower the deposit by adding the operator’s damage waiver.

Fuel isn't included, and on a powerboat it's the biggest variable cost. Estimated from engine power: at a typical planing cruise this boat's 40 HP engine burns roughly 6 L/h — about €12 an hour at €1.95/L. It depends heavily on speed: easing off the throttle cuts it sharply, running flat out raises it. Plan your fuel around the hours and speed you expect to cruise.

Not for this boat — the operator charters it without a licence requirement. Generally, though: A Sportbootführerschee-See (SBF-See) is required for boats over 15 HP at sea; the ICC is recognised for visitors.
