Frequently Asked Questions
Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included, and on a powerboat it's the biggest variable cost. At a typical planing cruise this boat's 800 HP engine burn roughly 120 L/h — about €234 an hour at €1.95/L. It depends heavily on speed: easing off the throttle cuts it sharply, running flat out raises it. Plan your fuel around the hours and speed you expect to cruise.
Do I need a sailing licence in Greece?
Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.
Can we bring a pet on board?
Yes, we're pet friendly. An extra cleaning cost is added when you bring a pet, so just let us know in advance.
Can we change crew partway through the charter?
Yes. A crew change is free of charge at Lavrion, and possible at Mykonos, Paros, Ios and Kos for 100 euros. Let us know your plans so we can arrange it.
Is there a minimum charter length?
Our standard rates apply to charters of at least 7 days. Short-term and one-way cruises can be arranged on request.
