Αλυκή means 'salt flats' in Greek, and this anchorage lives up to its name — you're dropping the hook near a working or historic saltpan landscape, a surprisingly rare and striking setting along the Greek coast. The shallow, glittering waters and flat terrain give the surroundings an almost otherworldly, bleached and quiet quality that feels completely different from the typical cove. Worth a visit if you want something off the usual scenic-bay circuit.
