Cala Barbaria

Cala Barbaria is a wild, unspoiled anchorage on Corsica's southern coast, tucked into the gulf of Murtoli near Sartène. Drop the hook here and you're within reach of one of the island's most atmospheric prehistoric landscapes — this cove is believed to have been the sea gateway for the Neolithic communities who built the remarkable megalithic monuments on the Cauria plateau. The rugged, undeveloped shoreline gives the whole place a timeless, end-of-the-world feel.
