Calanque de la Flancade

Calanque de la Flancade is one of the wilder, less-visited inlets tucked into the Calanques National Park between Marseille and Cassis — you drop anchor off dramatic limestone cliffs that plunge straight into impossibly clear turquoise water. There's a raw, almost untouched feel here, with the rugged coastal scrubland above and no infrastructure to speak of, just the rock, the sea, and the silence. Access by land is tough, so arriving by water means you'll often have the place largely to yourself.
