Hirifa Anchorage

✨ Hidden gem

Tucked into the southeast corner of Fakarava's lagoon, Hirifa is one of only five legally designated anchorages in the entire atoll, making it a genuine refuge when the maramu winds kick up. The setting is remote and raw, with the surrounding reef putting you right on the doorstep of some of the South Pacific's most celebrated diving. You can drop the hook among up to 30 other boats here, though it never loses that end-of-the-world feel.
