Passe Tumakohua Anchorage

Anchored at the south pass of Fakarava atoll, you're right on the doorstep of one of the world's most celebrated dive sites, famous for jaw-dropping encounters with sharks, rays, and big pelagics. The anchorage holds well in most conditions, though northwest winds will make you uncomfortable here. It feels wonderfully remote, with the historic village of Tetamanu nearby — just know the dinghy ride across is a commitment.
