Île aux Moutons

Île aux Moutons — 'Sheep Island' — sits within the Glénan archipelago south of Fouesnant, where you anchor off and take in one of France's most remarkable seabird sanctuaries. From April through August, the island hosts nesting colonies of Common, Sandwich, and Roseate Terns, making it one of the only sites in France where all three breed together. The Breton name, Moal Enez ('Bald Island'), gives you a fair picture of the exposed, windswept setting — low, treeless, and raw against the Atlantic.
