Kamari Beach

You anchor off this black volcanic sand beach on Santorini's southeastern coast, about 8 km from Fira, with the dramatic cliffs of Ancient Thera rising steeply behind it. The setting is striking — dark pebbled shore, crystal-clear water, and a lively strip of tavernas and cafés within easy reach by dinghy. From here you can also hike or catch a ride up to the ruins of Ancient Thera, one of the lesser-visited archaeological sites in the Cyclades with sweeping views over the caldera and coast.
