Karistos Marina

Karystos Marina sits at the foot of Mount Ochi on the southern tip of Evia, giving it one of the more dramatic backdrops you'll find in the Aegean. The town itself has a relaxed, unhurried feel — think neoclassical architecture, a Venetian castle nearby, and waterfront tavernas that don't rush you out. It's a solid base for exploring southern Evia, which stays well off the tourist radar compared to the Cyclades.
