Koundouros Anchorage
✨ Hidden gem
Koundouros (also known as Kavia Bay or Ayios Emilianos) is the second most popular anchorage on Kea after Vourkari, tucked into a bay that handles NW through ESE winds well. Drop the hook in 4–7 metres over sand and weed, but watch for rocky slabs as you get closer to shore. It's a relaxed, unhurried spot compared to busier Cycladic anchorages, with a small resort village ashore if you want to stretch your legs.
