Luka Vis

4.5 (1200 reviews)

Luka Vis is the main harbor of Vis island, tucked into a strikingly beautiful bay framed by stone buildings and hillside vineyards — one of the more unspoiled spots in the Adriatic. You'll find solid berthing with basic services, and the town itself is the real draw: excellent local wine, fresh seafood, and a laid-back atmosphere that still hasn't been swallowed by mass tourism. Vis island's relative remoteness (it was a closed Yugoslav military zone until 1989) has kept it authentically Croatian in a way few island towns manage.
