Porth Cressa

Drop anchor off Porthcressa Beach on the south side of Hugh Town, a sheltered sandy bay that puts you steps from the heart of the Isles of Scilly's main settlement. It's a world away from the busier northern harbourside, with a clean stretch of sand backed by the town's shops, restaurants and hotels all within easy walking distance. Hugh Town sits on a narrow sandbar connecting the headlands, so you're never far from anything on St Mary's.
