West Porth

West Porth is a sheltered anchorage on the western side of St Mary's, where you drop the hook off the coast near Hugh Town, the Isles of Scilly's only real town. It's a surprisingly peaceful spot given how close you are to everything — the main street, Porthcressa Beach, and the inter-island boat connections are all within easy reach once you get ashore. The setting is classic Scilly: clear Atlantic water, granite coastline, and big skies.
