Spiaggia delle Farfalle — 'Butterfly Beach' — is a postcard-perfect arc of pale sand carved into the granite coastline of Gallura, in northeast Sardinia. You anchor off and come ashore to find a sheltered cove ringed by dense Mediterranean scrub and that vivid turquoise water Sardinia is famous for. There's a beach bar and toilets at the nearby parking area, so you won't go thirsty. The surrounding headland of Capo Coda Cavallo is worth exploring if you feel like stretching your legs.
