Spropoli sits near Capo Spartivento, the southernmost tip of Calabria where the Ionian and Tyrrhenian seas meet — drop anchor here and you're at a genuinely dramatic geographic landmark. The surrounding coastline is wild and largely undeveloped, with the small village of Spropoli and the Fiumara di Spropoli river mouth adding to the remote, end-of-the-world feel.
