Stromboli Porto

This is the main port on Stromboli island, one of the most dramatic stops in the Aeolian archipelago — an active volcano rising straight out of the sea. You can catch hydrofoil connections from here to Messina and the other Aeolian Islands, making it a genuine hub rather than a dead end. The real draw is the island itself: Stromboli's volcano erupts almost continuously, and evening hikes to watch the lava flows light up the sky are something you won't forget.
