Torre Astura

Torre Astura is a medieval tower and castle sitting dramatically on what was once an island—now a slender peninsula jutting into the Tyrrhenian Sea near Nettuno. You anchor off here to take in one of Lazio's most striking coastal landmarks, visible for miles in both directions from Anzio to the San Felice headlands. The water is famously clear, and the unspoilt stretch of beach nearby is reachable by a short local boat ride for a couple of euros.
