Drop anchor in the sheltered roadstead just off Nettuno, a historic coastal town south of Rome with a remarkably well-preserved medieval quarter. The holding is generally good and the setting is quietly atmospheric, with the old Aragonese tower and fortified walls visible from the water. It's worth going ashore to explore the narrow streets of the Borgo medievale, one of the most intact in Lazio.
