Porto di Anzio

Porto di Anzio sits on the coast south of Rome, a working marina with genuine Italian port character steeped in history — this was Nero's favourite stretch of coastline in ancient times, and the town still carries that layered, lived-in feel. You'll need to contact the harbour master on channel 16 for entry clearance before coming in, so have that sorted ahead of time. The marina holds a Bandiera Blu 2023 rating, recognising the quality of the water here. Once ashore, Anzio's seafront restaurants, WWII landing beaches, and easy rail links up to Rome make it a genuinely rewarding place to spend time.
