Puerta del Sol is Vigo's kilometre zero — the symbolic heart where the Old Town meets the buzzing pedestrian shopping streets. The square is anchored by O Sireno, an iconic aluminum sculpture of a merman that locals and everyone else uses as a meeting point. It's the kind of spot where the whole city seems to pass through at some point in the day, with café terraces spilling out around it, making it a great place to get your bearings before diving into the city.
