Marina Gate

Porta Marina is a 15th-century gateway set into the ancient walls that once enclosed Ortigia Island — one of the few surviving remnants of the city's medieval defenses. The Catalan-Gothic architectural details make it stand out from typical fortress gates, and you can climb up to the guard walkway for sweeping views over Syracuse.
