City Museum

Zadar's city museum traces its roots back to 1832, making it one of the oldest museum institutions in Dalmatia — and it's still going strong. Housed in the elegant 19th-century Cosmacendi Palace, it holds a surprisingly rich collection of religious art alongside exhibits charting the city's long history. The palace setting alone is worth the visit, and the views from inside aren't bad either.
