Founded in 1893, the Centro de Arqueologia de Lisboa holds Portugal's largest archaeological collection, spanning from the Paleolithic period all the way through the Middle Ages. It's also considered one of the most important museums for ancient Iberian art on the entire peninsula — so this isn't a small-town curiosity, it's the real deal. If you're into history, you'll find the artifact range genuinely impressive.
