Piazzale Giuseppe Vallebona is a surface parking area in Carloforte, the only town on the island of San Pietro — a small Ligurian-flavored enclave sitting just off the southwestern Sardinian coast. It gives you a practical base to leave the car while you explore Carloforte's tight tuna-fishing streets and colorful harbor on foot. The setting itself is pretty special, given that San Pietro is only reachable by ferry and has a distinctly separate identity from the rest of Sulcis Iglesiente.
