Museum of Olbia

Sitting on the small Peddone island near the old port, this archaeological museum traces 3,000 years of Olbia's history — from its Greek founding as a 'happy city' to Roman occupation and beyond. The layered storytelling here is genuinely absorbing, with artifacts pulled straight from the surrounding sea and soil of Gallura. Note that the museum has been undergoing temporary closures for renovation work, so check ahead before making the trip.
