Keene's (Gun emplacement)

Keene's Gun Emplacement is a historic artillery position tucked along the trail between Middle Ground Fort and Fort Berkeley, giving you a raw, unrestored look at the coastal defenses that once protected English Harbour. Unlike the more polished sites at Shirley Heights, this spot feels genuinely forgotten—cannons and stonework sitting much as they were left, with sweeping views of the harbour approaches that made it such a strategic position. It's easy to miss if you're not following the trail closely, so keep an eye out for the path markers.
