You become a yacht charter agent on charter.boats by invitation. Write to us through the Contact page, and a member of our team reviews your request and approves it by hand. Mermaid does not approve agents. Once you are approved, you get an invite link. Open it, sign in or create your account, and your agent access turns on.
An agent account lets you search boats with prices and your commission estimate side by side, hold a boat for a client without paying, and pass client inquiries to Mermaid.
If your account is not an agent yet
Open an agent page while signed in to an ordinary account and you see Agent access not active, with the line Our team opens agent accounts by invitation. You can send inquiries once yours is active. Click Contact support to ask for access.
If you see We couldn't check your agent account. Reload the page to try again., reload the page. It means the check did not finish, not that you were refused.
How to accept your invite
- Open the invite link we sent you. The page reads Your agent access is ready and shows who the invite is for.
- If you have no charter.boats account, click Continue with Google or Sign up with email.
- If you already have an account, click Already have an account? Log in.
- Once you are signed in, the page reads Activating your access… and then One moment — taking you to Pro search.
- You land in Pro search, ready to work.
If you open the link while already signed in, steps 2 and 3 are skipped and your access turns on straight away.
If the invite link does not work
The page shows Link not valid with one of three reasons:
- This invite link is not valid: the link is wrong or incomplete. Copy it again in full.
- This invite has already been used: the invite was claimed. If it was not you, write to us.
- This invite link has expired: ask us for a new one.
Go to Charter Boats takes you back to the home page.
Where to find your agent tools
Once your access is active, open the account menu and click Agent Dashboard. Its tabs are Overview, Bookings, Inquiry, Messages and Settings. A search from the home page now opens Pro search. To use it, see How do I search boats and see my commission in Pro search?. To hold a boat for a client, see How do I hold a boat for my client and send them the link to pay?.
If something here does not match what you see, ask Mermaid in the chat, or write to support@charter.boats.
