About this boat

The Bali 5.8 is the flagship of our fleet in Sardinia – a luxurious, spacious catamaran designed to deliver the highest standards of comfort, elegance, and functionality. It features 5 spacious double cabins, each with a private ensuite bathroom, beautifully furnished with high-quality materials for maximum relaxation. The 2 separate crew cabins with private facilities ensure complete privacy for guests. Outdoor spaces are designed for a full sea-life experience: the expansive panoramic flybridge is a real floating terrace equipped with a sunbathing area, table, fridge, and sink — the perfect setting for enjoying a drink or meal with a breathtaking view. The forward cockpit, with its table and cushions, is ideal for social moments or pure relaxation. Inside, the stunning open-space living area connects the galley, saloon, and aft cockpit into one bright and airy environment, thanks to Bali’s iconic tilting door. The interiors are stylish, modern, and highly functional — just like a luxury suite on the water. Included in the charter pack, you will also have access to various water toys: SUP boards, snorkeling equipment, inflatables, and other water games to enjoy the sea at any moment, suitable for both adults and children.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Lessee responsible for damages to furniture, equipment, supplies
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~230 HP engines burn roughly 18.4 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 386 L ≈ €753 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans. Many skippers run one engine on passage to roughly halve fuel use — ask your operator if that’s fine for your boat.
Do I need a sailing licence in Italy?
The skipper needs a valid sailing licence and VHF certificate, ideally issued by their country of residence (an ICC is widely accepted).
Can we bring a pet on board?
You may only keep an animal aboard with our prior consent, so please ask us before your trip if you plan to travel with a pet.
Where can we sail and what is the boat allowed to be used for?
The boat is for leisure use only, within the agreed cruising area, and you may not leave Italian territorial waters without our permission. It may not be used to transport goods or passengers for business, and racing or sailing competitions require our written consent.
What are the limits for bad weather?
Do not leave port, or head at once to the nearest safe shelter if already at sea, when wind and sea conditions reach or are forecast to reach Force 6 with waves over 2 metres. The skipper in command should not depart above Force 5 and must follow any port authority ban on navigation.
Does the skipper need to be approved?
Yes. The person commanding the boat is subject to our approval and must hold a certificate valid in Italy. If we judge their skills insufficient for this type of boat, we may require a skipper we trust aboard at your expense; refusing this ends the agreement.
Is there daily upkeep we are responsible for?
Yes. Ordinary maintenance during the charter is your responsibility, including engine oil, batteries, winches and sails, plus the usual cleaning aboard. Return the galley cooker and crockery perfectly clean, or a 100 euro charge applies on top of normal cleaning.
