Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. You can lower the deposit by adding the operator’s damage waiver. Operator terms: The Owner insures the yacht and her equipment as per Greek law against fire, marine and collision risks, third party damage and other loss or damage.

Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~100 HP engine burns roughly 8 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 168 L ≈ €328 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.

Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.

The boat is for private pleasure only, so no racing, no towing other craft (except in an emergency) and no subletting without the operator's written consent. Only people on the crew/passenger manifest may sleep aboard, and you can't exceed the passenger number in the boat's documents.

For safety, you must not leave a port or anchorage if the wind is or is forecast to be above Beaufort 6, or if the harbour authorities ban sailing. The same applies if the boat or crew isn't up to it. If you doubt conditions, stay put.

You must stay within Greek seas and only sail in areas covered by the charts on board. Plan your route so you reach the farthest port within the first third of your charter. Two days before the end, be within 40 nautical miles of the return base.

Your group must include at least one qualified skipper and one experienced crew member. We may ask you to show your competence at sea with one of our people aboard. If we aren't satisfied, we may place a seaman aboard at your expense, or end the charter.

Contact us before arranging any repair, because we need to approve it. For an accident or damage, ask the nearest Port Authority to record it in writing and tell us at the same time. We also ask you to report your position and the boat's condition every 3 days.
