About this boat

The Oceanis 30.1 is easy to sail but lively to helm and promises new experiences and thrills. This robust little smart cruiser is small enough to trail, opening up endless possibilities for sailing on coastal sailing and high sea adventures. An extremely comfortable cockpit, two wheel rudders and aft, the sea is accessed by a simple step completed by a lifting platform. With a few extra centimetres won in strategic places the Oceanis 30.1 differs from other boats, thanks to a headspace of 1.98 m in all the places inside where it is comfortable to stand. The two good-sized double cabins each have berths running lengthwise and an open entryway making them feel particularly spacious. The two benches in the saloon provide an additional place for two extra berths. The large shower room is divided into a marine toilet on one side and shower and washbasin on the other. At the foot of the gently sloping companionway, the L-shaped galley has top and bottom storage, a 75-litre refrigerator and a real oven under the gas hob. Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: All boats covered by RC insurance (rental) and full risk RAS with deductible equal to security deposit. Insurance does not cover sail damage except following mast breakage.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~15 HP engine burn roughly 1.2 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 25 L ≈ €49 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Italy?
The skipper needs a valid sailing licence and VHF certificate, ideally issued by their country of residence (an ICC is widely accepted).
Do we get a briefing before we set off?
Yes. Before departure our base managers give the skipper navigation and route advice along with the weather forecast for your charter period. We continue to monitor conditions and keep your skipper updated throughout the trip.
Is there a check-in and check-out procedure on the boat?
Yes. At both embarkation and disembarkation we carry out an inventory and technical handover that takes about an hour, so please allow time for it.
Can we take part in a regatta?
You can, but racing and sailing events require you to take out additional insurance, so please let us know in advance if you plan to compete.
Can we arrange a transfer or extras?
Yes. Please send us your flight details for any transfer, along with any extras you would like, up to 30 days before embarkation.
When is the best time to sail in Italy?
May–October, warm and settled in summer; July–August are hottest and busiest, with afternoon thermal breezes common.
