About this boat

The Oceanis 393 is a true concentrate of the art of living on a cruise. With easy maneuverability, the Oceanis Clipper 393 is suitable for sailing with a small crew. The symbol of this new generation Oceanis is designed exclusively for your pleasure of sailing. It is a well-finished and comfortable boat.Like all Beneteau-Oceanis, the hull is full layered so she is heavy and this affects her performance under sail. The interiors guarantee a height of around 2 meters or more. They are very bright thanks to the large transversal windows on the deckhouse, there are ample spaces to stow the galley and the kitchen equipment. A linear kitchen, chart corner, two spacious bathrooms as well as the three cabins. Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: All boats covered by RC insurance (rental) and full risk RAS with deductible equal to security deposit. Insurance does not cover sail damage except following mast breakage.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~55 HP engine burn roughly 4.4 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 92 L ≈ €179 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Italy?
The skipper needs a valid sailing licence and VHF certificate, ideally issued by their country of residence (an ICC is widely accepted).
Do we get a briefing before we set off?
Yes. Before departure our base managers give the skipper navigation and route advice along with the weather forecast for your charter period. We continue to monitor conditions and keep your skipper updated throughout the trip.
Is there a check-in and check-out procedure on the boat?
Yes. At both embarkation and disembarkation we carry out an inventory and technical handover that takes about an hour, so please allow time for it.
Can we take part in a regatta?
You can, but racing and sailing events require you to take out additional insurance, so please let us know in advance if you plan to compete.
Can we arrange a transfer or extras?
Yes. Please send us your flight details for any transfer, along with any extras you would like, up to 30 days before embarkation.
When is the best time to sail in Italy?
May–October, warm and settled in summer; July–August are hottest and busiest, with afternoon thermal breezes common.
