About this boat

Sailing Yacht Tigre – Beneteau Oceanis 40 (2008) | Comfortable and Well-Equipped Tigre, a 2008 Beneteau Oceanis 40, is a well-maintained and comfortable cruising sailboat. Ideal for a peaceful and enjoyable sailing holiday along the Turkish coast, she combines good sailing performance with generous living spaces to offer a relaxed onboard experience. The yacht is based at Fethiye Yes Marina, one of the most popular and well-equipped marinas in the region. Berthing fees at Fethiye Marina for the first and last days are included in the price, allowing you to start and end your holiday without any additional costs. Fethiye is renowned for its unique natural beauty, crystal-clear waters, sheltered bays, historical sites, and surrounding islands. From the famous Göcek bays to quiet and unspoiled anchorages, the region offers some of the finest sailing routes in the Mediterranean, perfectly blending nature, culture, and tranquility. Solar panels provide efficient energy supply during extended stays at anchor. The spacious cockpit offers a comfortable outdoor living area for relaxing, dining, and enjoying time at sea. Thanks to the full batten mainsail and furling genoa, Tigre is easy and safe to sail, making her suitable for both experienced sailors and families seeking a relaxed cruising holiday. A modern chartplotter supports navigation, ensuring confidence and convenience underway. The fully equipped galley includes complete kitchenware such as metal cutlery, plates, glasses, pots, and pans. Cooking gas is included in the charter price, allowing you to enjoy onboard meals without extra concerns. Bed linen, sheets, pillows, hand towels, and bath towels are included in the price. A dinghy (without engine) is also provided, making access to shore easy and practical. The charterer is free to cruise anywhere between Antalya and Kuşadası, provided the yacht remains within Turkish territorial waters and is returned to the base on time and in the agreed condition. Tigre is an excellent choice for guests seeking a reliable, spacious, and well-equipped sailing yacht, combined with the exceptional sailing experience offered by Fethiye and the Turkish Riviera.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Vessel is insured against third party damage, fire, lightning, explosion, theft, robbery, natural disasters, marine and collision risks. Financial liability of Charterer limited to security deposit unless damage caused by willful misuse or gross negligence.
Do I need a sailing licence in Turkey?
No licence is required by Turkish law, but charter companies require proof of competence such as an ICC or RYA Day Skipper certificate.
What can I use the boat for?
The boat is for personal use such as cruising, and can't be used for commercial purposes. Using it outside coastal waters or taking part in a regatta is only allowed if we've given you written permission.
When is it unsafe to leave port?
You shouldn't leave port or anchorage if the wind is, or is expected to be, over force 7 on the Beaufort scale (about 30 knots), if the authorities have banned sailing, or if any vital equipment isn't in good working order.
Will my sailing experience be checked?
You'll need a valid navigation licence, or a crew member who holds one. We may arrange a short sail together to confirm your competence, and if we feel you or your crew lack the necessary skill we can limit your sailing area, require the boat back at base, or in serious cases end the contract.
How many people can be on board?
The number of people aboard must never exceed the number shown on the crew list. You'll also need to give us each crew member's name, date and place of birth and passport number in advance.
What condition should the boat be in when I return it?
Please return the boat clean and tidy, with the equipment stowed and the fuel tank full. Leaving full holding tanks, a clogged toilet, or lost cockpit or deck cushions will be charged per the price list, and you should also check the engine oil daily during your trip.
When is the best time to sail in Turkey?
April–October along the Turquoise Coast (Bodrum, Göcek, Fethiye); hot, dry summers with gentle afternoon breezes ideal for cruising.
