Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: All vessels hull insured with appropriate policies against damage to persons and third parties. Insurance does not cover client personal property, deliberately caused damage, or damage from client negligence.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~54 HP engine burn roughly 4.3 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 90 L ≈ €167 at €1.85/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Montenegro?
A valid sailing licence is required for any charter, and a VHF radio certificate is commonly requested as well.
When do I need to confirm any extras like a skipper or transfers?
Extras should ideally be requested before your booking is confirmed. At the latest, all extras must be agreed in writing no later than 10 days before your charter begins.
When do you need our crew list?
Please send a correctly filled crew list no later than 10 days before the first day of your charter, along with your estimated arrival time so check-in runs smoothly.
Can the charter start or end at a marina other than the home port?
Yes, but if you start or finish anywhere other than the home base in Montenegro, you'll cover that marina's berthing fees plus a one-way or base-change fee as per our current price list.
