Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: Security Deposit Insurance is mandatory for skippered and crewed charters. Charterer's/Skipper's Liability Insurance and Cancellation and Curtailment Insurance are not included.
Do I need a sailing licence in Greece?
Not if you add a skipper — this boat offers one, who holds the licence. Generally, though: Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.
Can I smoke on board?
Smoking is not permitted inside the yacht.
Can I bring children on the charter?
Yes, but children must be under the supervision of an adult or nanny in your charter party at all times.
Will we definitely follow the itinerary we planned?
Itineraries are suggestions only. They depend on weather, sea conditions and the captain's approval at the time of charter. Our private charter yachts can change a point of call at any time for your safety and comfort, and we can't guarantee berths in any particular port.
Is a crew included, and who takes care of day-to-day costs on board?
Yes, the charter price includes the crew (skipper / cook). Fuel, water, berthing fees, provisioning and transfers are extra. Outstanding accounts are settled in cash with the captain from the APA before you disembark.
Is a tip for the crew expected?
A crew gratuity is customary but entirely at your discretion. It usually ranges from 10% to 15% of the charter fee.
