Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit.

Do I need a sailing licence in Malta?

Not personally — a skipper is included with this boat and holds the licence. Generally, though: A recognised sailing licence is required and, by Maltese law, the skipper must also hold a VHF radio operator licence.
