About this boat

As the name suggests, this boat offers a calm feeling as soon as you set foot on the deck. She is a beautiful Astréa 42 - a model that was awarded “2018 Multihull of the Year” by Le Monde du Multi and French magazine Voile. Serene Blue is a 3 cabin, 3 head boat with a large master cabin that takes up the entire starboard side and provides an abundance of natural light. This cabin has a large walk-in shower and separate toilet. The port side consists of 2 cabins that have their own heads. This area is fully-equipped with a plug-in ice maker, a convection microwave, a large fridge, and freezer drawers. The U-shaped galley transitions seamlessly with the cockpit, courtesy of a vast sliding pocket door. The cockpit has a small fridge for easy outdoor access to cold beverages. The covered flybridge offers shade for the captain while sailing and provides beautiful ocean views, and the coachroof features a double seat at the helm station and a built-in sun lounger. The Highfield 11 ft. dinghy with a 25 HP engine on a large swim platform will easily be able to take your group to and from the boat. Like all of our luxury yachts, she is equipped with a variety of amenities, including air conditioning and a generator.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~80 HP engines burn roughly 6.4 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 134 L ≈ €194 at €1.45/L — scale it to your own plans. Many skippers run one engine on passage to roughly halve fuel use — ask your operator if that’s fine for your boat.
Do I need a sailing licence in United States?
Requirements vary by state and operator; no national sailing licence exists, so charter companies rely on a detailed sailing résumé (some states require a boater education card).
