About this boat

You will fly through the water aboard Firefly. Step inside to experience all the comforts of home on this luxurious Isla 40. With plenty of sleeping space with 4 cabins, we find this perfect for a family or multiple couples to charter. The proud successor of the Lucia 40, Firefly benefits from dynamic inverted bows and offers great performance at sea. A 3-burner stove, oven, double sink, and drawer-type refrigerators complete her L-shaped galley. The interior is designed to optimize space for her guests and provide abundant natural light. Wide side decks, flush hatches, and handrails on the coachroof ensure safe movement around the deck. Like all of our luxury yachts, this Isla 40 features numerous amenities, including a water maker, air conditioning, and a generator for your convenience. Watermaker, WiFi, and Dinghy are available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?

Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit.

How much will fuel cost?

Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~80 HP engines burn roughly 6.4 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 134 L ≈ €190 at €1.42/L — scale it to your own plans.

Do I need a sailing licence in British Virgin Islands?

Not if you add a skipper — this boat offers one, who holds the licence. Generally, though: No formal sailing licence is required, but you must submit a sailing résumé proving recent experience on a similar-sized yacht for company approval.
