Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: Security Deposit Insurance is mandatory for skippered charters.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~40 HP engines burn roughly 3.2 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 67 L ≈ €131 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Greece?
Not if you add a skipper — this boat offers one, who holds the licence. Generally, though: Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.
What is not included in the charter price?
The price covers use of the vessel with her equipment and charter VAT. Fuel and water consumption, crew (skipper or cook), berthing fees, provisioning, transfers and any extras are paid separately.
What condition should the boat be returned in?
We deliver the yacht and dinghy with full fuel tanks and full water tanks, and we ask that you return them full in fuel and water.
Can I add a skipper or hostess to my charter?
Yes, crew such as a skipper or cook can be arranged, but they are not included in the charter price and are charged as an extra.
When is my booking actually confirmed?
Your booking is confirmed only once your first payment has cleared in our bank account. The charter goes ahead only if all payments arrive in cleared funds on time.
