About this boat

The Sun Odyssey 32i (for infusion) is a dynamic cruising racer with a wide and comfortable cockpit, featuring a warm interior. Jami 3 is a sailboat with beautiful lines designed for open waters, which has been lovingly maintained by its owners over the years and is very well equipped to facilitate sailing with a small crew. Its shallow draft (1.50 m) allows it to anchor close to the coast, a significant advantage in North Brittany. Performance, comfort, and excellent equipment are all condensed into this 32-footer. The size of its two cabins is surprising for a boat measuring 9.60 meters, especially the aft cabin. You can set off in comfort with 4 to 6 people for an unforgettable cruise. To make your navigation and life on board easier, Jami 3 is equipped with cut-out doors, an electric windlass, a lazy bag, and a very spacious kitchen. Its three displays at the helm, GPS chart plotter, AIS system for sending and receiving, and weather receiver make it a sailboat focused on safety while navigating. Its wide wheel is smooth in all conditions and offers great maneuverability. The Sun Odyssey 32i does not forget performance under sail and will safely accompany you along the coast of North Brittany or around the Anglo-Saxon islands. Well equipped, the Sun Odyssey 32i, available for rent, comes with a roller-furling genoa, a battened mainsail, an asymmetrical spinnaker, and a heavy weather sail: a solent on a removable stay. This 9.60-meter sailboat, with its impeccable interior woodwork, embodies the perfect blend of performance, comfort, and timeless elegance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: All-risk insurance of vessel with 'rental option' included in rental rates. Covers civil liability, theft, damage from sea events, and total loss.
Do I need a sailing licence in France?
No formal licence is legally required to skipper a bareboat sailing yacht, though charter companies expect a sailing résumé and usually an ICC or equivalent.
What happens if the weather is bad during my charter?
If Meteo-France issues a special weather bulletin for wind of force 7 or more covering most of your booking, we will give you a credit for the full rental amount, valid for twelve months. Days not sailed because of weather are not otherwise refunded, so plan to stay near a port or shelter in a gale.
What if my crew is not experienced enough to sail safely?
We may require a professional skipper at your expense if we judge the crew's skills are not sufficient to keep the crew and boat safe, regardless of any certificates presented.
Do I need a VHF qualification?
For boats fitted with VHF, at least one crew member must hold the required radio diploma; we accept no responsibility if no one aboard is qualified.
How may I not use the boat?
Subletting, lending, sub-chartering, commercial use, professional fishing and transport are all strictly prohibited, and you may only carry the number of passengers stated in your contract.
Do I have to keep a logbook?
Yes. The skipper must keep the logbook we provide up to date, recording navigation, any damage and repairs, and sea events. In a dispute the logbook is the reference used for insurance.
