Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Yacht insured against third party liability, sea pollution, hull/equipment damages
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~27 HP engine burn roughly 2.2 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 46 L ≈ €90 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Greece?
Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.
What if we're not experienced enough to handle the yacht?
At check-in, our base manager may decide you're not yet ready to skipper the yacht safely, even with a certificate. If that happens we'll ask you to hire a skipper so you can still enjoy your charter. We always recommend not chartering bareboat without enough experience.
Can we hire a skipper or other services?
Yes. A skipper is optional and paid in cash on embarkation day, and we also offer extras like a hostess, airport transfers, Wi-Fi and water toys. Just mention any requests when you get in touch and we'll arrange them.
What's included in the charter price?
You get the yacht and her inventory, full safety and galley equipment, a dinghy with outboard, gas, blankets, pillows, bed linen and towels per person, plus mooring fees for the first and last night and insurance and tax.
What is the Service Pack?
It's an extras package paid in cash at the marina on embarkation, covering end cleaning, a set of bed linen, pillows, shower towels, fuel for the outboard, a spare gas bottle, and a Welcome Pack of selected Greek products. The exact fee is shown in your quote.
