Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. You can lower the deposit by adding the operator’s damage waiver. Operator terms: All boats are insured against accidents caused on board and civil liability. Opening a liability case for an accident involving third parties costs 500 EUR.

Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~40 HP engine burns roughly 3.2 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 67 L ≈ €115 at €1.71/L — scale it to your own plans.

A recognised sailing licence is required, with an ICC typically requested for non-Spanish skippers chartering a bareboat.

Yes. The boat is for recreational sailing by you, your family, friends or staff only. Sub-leasing, carrying goods or paying passengers, commercial fishing and regattas are not allowed.

Contact us right away and we'll send our technical team or authorize the repair. For serious incidents, secure the boat first and then call us for instructions. We only travel to Menorca and Ibiza for failures that stop the boat moving. For other damage, head to any port in Mallorca.

If a breakdown isn't caused by us, we'll offer a similar boat or a proportional refund minus one day. Refunds are given as a discount on a future charter at any of our bases, and the discount doesn't expire.

Weather is not accepted as a reason for returning late. Each day of delay is charged at double the daily rate, so plan your return with some margin.
